Letting Loose

I used to be someone who planned to go to places at least a week ahead of time. That's because in Miami everything interesting was 1 hour away from me by car. Now living here, I'm the complete opposite. And if I do plan, it never goes as planned. It actually becomes a series of unexpected events. Either really awesome surprises or pretty shitty encounters. With every experience, something good comes out of it.

This day I planned to see the Renegade Craft Fair. It was cute but I went around the place in 10 minutes. Now what? Yup, it's time to get lost. My favorite way of discovering the city is just wandering around until I run into something recognizable.

I noticed I was heading towards my favorite taco place. I realized a couple months ago that my favorite food is definitely Mexican. Guac 4 life. Los Tacos No. 1 is the one, located in the Chelsea Market. I only go in there for the tacos and horchata.

After those tacos, I went up the Highline and had never walked to the south end before. I remembered The Whitney Museum was at the end. I hadn't visited it before so I gave it a go. Huge line to get in and I don't think it was that big of a deal. I thought the streets of NY were way more interesting. Overhyped. But that led me to find that cookie sandwich. I discovered a new food market right by the museum. Gansevoort Market had this lil place called The Bruffin. Hey if Oprah approves, it must be good. Yeah she was right.
