If I had to choose another city to live in, it would be Brighton. Ever since discovering it more through youtube via Zoe & Alfie, I fell in love with it's quirky and quaint character.
Wow ok. How has 6 months flown by. Doesn't everyone say this? Everything's moving so fast. I finally get some time to sit down and talk about my most recent trip to Europe. I took 463 photos and narrowed it down to a good 100. I'm going to start with the most lush visit of all, Kew Gardens.
Work life has been pretty intense for me since coming back from NYC. I didn't think I'd be doing this much work! I thought I'd be coming back to relaxation but one thing led to another and I'm super grateful about it all. I found one day to squeeze in some fun time at Art Basel this year. Check out that plant chair by fellow Colombian Chris Wolston!
Demisch Danant collects french pieces from the late 1950s through the 1970s. Design Miami/ is like walking into a design museum of the past, present and future. Love it.
Exciting projects soon to be revealed in 2018!!
For my Dad's 60th birthday, he wanted to go to Volcano Bay for the weekend. We stayed at Cabana Bay which is in between Universal Studios & Volcano Bay. The hotel's theme is centered around mid century design. The detail I loved the most is that the toiletries were a throwback to that time period.
Volcano Bay was really fun. Most rides are actually pretty intense and probably aimed more for teenagers. My favorite was the two person tube slides. I can ride those all day. The park has a good amount of different rides and variations of slides within them. I feel like one day wasn't enough!
It was a perfect weekend getaway to the 60s that I don't mind doing again.
