I've always loved cliffs. Not sure if I lived near one in my past life but I'm very attracted to them! I love being above the ocean looking out into the horizon. It makes me think of what is ahead for all of us. What future dreams and goals are out there that we don't know about yet. Life is weird and full of good and bad surprises, that's what the cliffs make me feel.

So theses rocks aren't any old regular rocks. They are jurassic! Meaning that their exposed layering say a lot about the earth's history. Fossils of extinct animals have been found in the layers!

The scenery on the way to the cove was incredible. Huge hills and valleys would peak through the trees of the road.

I started collecting images of colors in harmony around me in my Instagram stories. It's kind of a continuation from my 100 days of NYC colors. Because color gives me an emotional reaction on the daily.

Before we went to the cove, we stopped by the tank museum. It was cool seeing how tanks have evolved with time. Though it was sad when you realize why they exist. Thought the above logotype for a well known tank was neat. Look at that g!

Brussels

We made a day trip to Brussels since it was just 2 hours away from London. Waking up for the Eurostar train rides were brutal, but I got to visit my favorite World's Fair landmark, the Atomium.

A walk further away from the Atomium was the ADAM museum. Which stands for Art & Design Atomium Museum. It was a small museum but I was going crazy with some World's Fair history and funky 60s-70s design.

It's funny how now we're avoiding plastic as much as we can yet back in the day it was this new material with many ways of manipulating it.

We had to see what a real Belgique waffle tastes like. It was amazing! Maison Dandoy had a sweet and crunchy version or a soft and salty version. This one was the sweet and crunchy!

The Atomium was more impressive than what I imagined. The size in person is hard to grasp. So why was this building made? Every World's Fair has some sort of iconic building that represents what the fair was about. The Eiffel Tower is the same idea, it was the center of its World's Fair. The 1958 World's Fair was all about how science was progressing and they wanted to capture that in the building itself. An iron unit cell magnified 165 billion times. You can't deny how cool that is.

London
It's been a month now since visiting the UK and I'm starting to miss it already! I miss how polite everyone was. From the flight attendants to the cashiers, 99% of them gave me a smile and a thank you (and a cheers!). Some even gave me compliments! I'll never forget how sweet they were. We stayed in Kensington and it was very lovely. The tube station was very close to the apartment, 2 great museums were at walking distance, Pret & Gail's bakery was also near by. I'm a huge fan of fresh baked goods and sandwiches.

You know I had to try a cheeky Nandos after seeing how popular it is over there. It was good! Not mind blowing or anything since it's a chain. The orange Fanta in the UK is so light! I'm not a huge soda drinker but when its light, I don't mind.

I was on a mission to find a new fragrance since my Byredo Bal d'Afrique had run out. Les Senteurs had 5 stars and had to pass by. The manager was very attentive and would give suggestions based on what we were looking for. I ended up getting some strange french fragrance brand from the 1920's called Isabey . Fleur Nocturne smells like gardenias!

I wasn't planning on visiting Harrods. I didn't really care for it. But I'm glad we ended up visiting. They have this huge food hall that offers food to cook at home or hot food to eat there.

We also visited Shoreditch. I'd say it's like DUMBO/Greenpoint in Brooklyn. They had these store concepts that mixes retail with a cafe. For example, Barber & Parlour sounds like what it is. It's a place where you go in, get a hair cut, and eat a delicious meal while watching a film. Sounds like a fun day!

Brighton

If I had to choose another city to live in, it would be Brighton. Ever since discovering it more through youtube via Zoe & Alfie, I fell in love with it's quirky and quaint character.

I have a weird fascination with piers. It must be their history and their reason of existing. To make people happy. The skeletal structure above was an old pier that caught fire from abandonment. Piers were popular before airfares became affordable to the masses. People from the city were looking for an escape during the summer and would go to the seaside for entertainment. Now with air travel, they don't feel that it's the only place they can go to escape the city.

The streets were small and narrow, winding around these funny looking houses lined up closely to each other. The people matched the buildings too. The atmosphere of the city felt chill and creative. Like a cooler Coney Island.

We ate lunch at this hidden Mexican restaurant called Carlito Burrito. They had funny music playing that caught my ear. Not sure what the genre is called yet but it sounds like indie-electronic Mexican music. Totally into it now.

I finally got to try Halloumi since everyone raves about it in the UK. It is literally queso frito. I thought it would be something else!

They have an online store that ships anywhere! There's still something about magazines that you can't feel online. The limitation in size and page count feels more considered and inspirational.

This thrift store was v cool. The best part was this real photo booth that spit out film strips. It made some funny noises while it was developing and took a bit to come out. Analog technology y'all. Taught you patience.

Kew Gardens

Wow ok. How has 6 months flown by. Doesn't everyone say this? Everything's moving so fast. I finally get some time to sit down and talk about my most recent trip to Europe. I took 463 photos and narrowed it down to a good 100. I'm going to start with the most lush visit of all, Kew Gardens.

I know I haven't been to many botanical gardens in my lifetime, but this has to be the most magical of them all. I seriously felt like I was in an old 1800's English fairytale. This Temperate House is the largest Victorian glasshouse in the world! Took nearly 40 years to complete!!

Walking through the various gardens, we found the Treetop Walkway . We all freaked out when we noticed the walkways swaying side to side in the wind!

We were pretty high up. Now is when I realize why they swayed: "Designed to flex slightly in the wind so it does not break in high winds."

Before taking this photo, we were in a beautiful area where there was a group of school children doing a project. It was so sweet seeing them build little structures out of natural materials they found around the garden. Some girls built flower crowns, not the obnoxious kind from music festivals, but very delicate and princess like crowns. Some students built domes out of thin sticks! Imagine having a school trip like this when young! I hope they remember that when they grow older.

After eating lunch and shopping around the gift shop (where I finally got to meet my dream plant, the Pilea Peperomioides) we turned the corner and saw this hunk of glass and iron. Excuse me but how gorgeous is this structure?! The bulbous ends and tall door entrance are so grand to me.
